The white wine of Tenuta La Garzaia in Bolgheri by Ruffino, entirely conceived by winemaker Olga Fusari. Garzaia combines the freshness and minerality of Fiano with the sweetness and softness of Viognier, in a pleasing interplay of balance.
71% Fiano and 29% Viognier
The grapes come from Tenuta La Garzaia in Bolgheri, specifically from Le Sondraie area, on the northern edge of the Bolgheri appellation. The soil is rich in clay and limestone, with small percentages of silt.
On its fine lees for 6 months, with regular bâtonnage that helps enhance body and roundness.
