To do so, the company adopted a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system. TPM is an industrialized continuous improve- ment system of all the company’s operative per- formance, which is based on a gradual learning TPM pathway of Ruffino S.r.l. process that, on one hand, assesses the proce- dures implemented and, on the other hand, the potential from the point of view of the organiza- tion’s continuous development. The TPM system is based on 8 pillars, each of which concentrates primarily on proactive and preventive techniques to improve the reliability of machinery and industrial processes in order to achieve an excellent management system..
