Aqua di Venus
The story
Aqua di Venus is the result of a project aimed at promoting an enticing corner of Tuscany: the southern Maremma coast. The area’s occasionally surly character is softened by the unparalleled grace of the creatively crafted bottle, which proved a runaway success with the wine’s rosé counterpart. This white embraces the same spirit, a variation on the theme featuring the opulence of its three varietals – Sangiovese, Vermentino and Chardonnay – and the winemaking expertise of Ruffino. It is an exceptionally elegant white wine, which pairs perfectly with all of Italy’s specialty products.
Winemaking notes
The refined winemaking begins with the separate vinification of each varietal, typified by immediate gentle pressing after the grapes were harvested while aiming to maintain the integrity of the fruit. The must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature aimed at keeping all the aromas.
Color
Straw yellow.
Aroma
The three varietals can be discerned: the forthright minerality of Vermentino, the plush fruit of Chardonnay and the closure of Sangiovese. Reminiscent of medicinal herbs and a tropical touch are the nuances that finish the aromatic profile.
Tasting profile
Deliciously savory, almost a salty sea breeze accompanied by ripe citrus, yellow fruits and accents of pulp. The structure aspires to a brilliant finish and enduring energy.
